Apples (⇨)

According to recorded arrivals at the wholesale level, Royal Gala accounts for about 52% of the market with New Zealand the dominant supplier. South African and Chilean Royal Gala are also available at ¥210–250 (18 kg) and ¥230–270 (18 kg) but in considerably lower amounts. Breeze, Dazzle, NZ Queen, Jugala and other varieties are all also on offer, with full wholesale and retail details available online.

Avocados (⇧)

Peruvian Hass pricing lifted strongly this week by a full 20% for 4-kilogram packs and similar or more for 10-kilogram cartons. At the retail level, the average price has remained rather steady since week 11, at around ¥67 per kilogram, which is about 15% below last year’s price.

Blueberries (⇩)

Domestic blueberry pricing reduced further this week, impacting all products from Yunnan, Guangdong and Sichuan. Week on week, we noted a decline of between 20% and 25% for dominant varieties such as Eureka Sunrise and Arana. Sichuan goods continue to price on the higher side compared to Yunnan and Guangdong provinces. At the retail level, we see an average consumer-facing price of ¥16.25 (125 g). Grapes (⇨)

Australian Crimson held steady at ¥264 (9.5 kg), sitting comfortably above both 2025 and 2024 at 15% higher. Chilean Red Globe traded at an average of ¥179 (8.2 kg, various sizes), in line with last year though well below 2024. Sweet Globe showed a range depending on origin, with Australian 9.5-kilogram lots at ¥302 and Chilean 7.3-kilogram lots at ¥178, both broadly stable. Peruvian Sweet Globe firmed notably to ¥240 (7.3 kg). More variety, origin and retail information is available to members.
