China Gives Costa Rican Pineapples Green Light

October 07, 2015

The Costa Rican Ministers of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora, and Agriculture and Livestock, Luis Felipe Arauz received a Chinese delegation and signed health protocols for the export of pineapples and tuna.

This follows on the heels of an extended process of inspections by Chinese authorities, assuring that the Costa Rican products met all the country's import requirements.

Minister Zhi Shuping, Director of the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, who was visiting the country on invitation of the Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Trade, countersigned the protocol.
