China FVF Features Business Matching Meetings and “Fresh Forum”

August 29, 2015

The 2015 China Fruit and Vegetable Fair is just over a week away, and will offer a unique venue for international produce industry representatives to interact directly with each other and their counterparts in China. According to China FVF, it is the only official comprehensive produce trade event in China, and the sole event supported by Chinese government policy makers, making it a key conference and convention for companies trying to enter the Chinese market.

The China FVF will be held September 9-11 at the National Convention Center in Beijing. Representatives from companies reflecting all components of the produce industry and supply chain, from produce packaging and logistics, to beverages and organic products, are expected to attend.

The China FVF offers some helpful tools for attendees during the meetings.

The Business Matching Meetings allow suppliers and purchasers to be matched according to their needs and interests. Through a simple registration form, participants inform the organizers of the nature of their business, such as exporter, buyer, supplier, or government agency, and what type of business interactions are of interest to them. The organizers will then match parties for in-person, in-depth discussions. Key Chinese businesses such an importers, supermarkets, online commerce sites, and chain stores from major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou will be participating. Domestic and international vendors will represent produce such as apples, pears, grapes, nuts, tropical fruits, and more. This program is an essential benefit for China FVF participants, allowing them to directly dialogue with clients.

In addition, the China FVF Buyers' Guide is produced with the intention of matching buyers with good suppliers. The first edition of the guide will be made available during the China FVF, and will also be sent out to suppliers on a regular basis.

During the first two days of China FVF, the “Fresh Forum” will give participants the opportunity to hear from experts on a variety of issues in the produce industry. Presentations and a panel discussion will feature speakers from the U.S., China, Thailand, Peru, and Malaysia. Topics will cover quarantine policies, how the China market is impacting the global produce situation, and future challenges for the produce industry.

With the valuable opportunity for produce market players to interact face-to-face, the 2015 China Fruit and Vegetable Fair is sure to be a significant conference and convention for the industry.
