2026/27 Chilean Cherry Sailing Schedules Announced

November 04, 2026

As November gets underway, the Chilean cherry sea freight season is fast approaching. Mediterranean Shipping Company, Ocean Network Express and Pacific International Lines have recently announced their sailing schedules for the 2026/27 Chilean cherry season.

According to the announcements, MSC will operate the first sailing of the Cherry Express service. The Torrance, a container vessel deployed on the Alpaca service, is scheduled to depart from the Port of San Antonio in Chile’s Valparaíso region for Nansha Port in Guangzhou on Nov. 9. The line will then operate weekly through Jan. 11, 2027.

Four days after the first sailing, the AX1/Inca line, jointly operated by ONE and MSC, will commence operations. The Itajai Express vessel is scheduled to depart from Terminal Pacífico Sur in Valparaíso on Nov. 13 and arrive in Hong Kong on Dec. 6, with an estimated transit time of approximately 23 days.

The Valparaíso–Hong Kong line will operate a total of 10 sailings before mid-January, with participating vessels including the Rio de Janeiro, Buenaventura Express, Lima Express, Buenos Aires Express, Humboldt Express, ONE Sincerity, ONE Sapphire, Montevideo Express and ONE Sphere, among others.

MSC has scheduled five sailings to Shanghai. The first sailing will be operated by MSC Anahita, departing on Nov. 27, followed by MSC Freeport V (Dec. 4), Jolly Bianco (Dec. 11), MSC Darwin VI (Dec.18) and MSC Arushi R (Dec. 25).

PIL’s Cherry Express service will operate six sailings from the Port of San Antonio to Shanghai between Nov. 20 and Dec. 25. The scheduled vessels include the Wan Hai 711 (Nov. 20 to Dec. 13), Kota Manzanillo (Nov. 27 to Dec. 20), YM Success (Dec. 4 to Dec. 27), YM Fountain (Dec. 11 to Jan. 3), Kota Cantik (Dec. 18 to Jan. 10) and Kota Cahaya (Dec. 25 to Jan. 17).

According to a recent news report, PIL’s Cherry Express service benefits from priority berthing at Shanghai Port, helping reduce vessel waiting times and speed up cargo deliveries. The service also uses refrigerated containers no more than five years old. In addition, the company’s PIL Cool (Reefer Telematics) solution provides end-to-end visibility of refrigerated cargo through real-time monitoring tools and shipment condition data.
