Asia Fresh Expo is well known in the domestic fresh produce industry as a platform for producers and distributors. This year’s three-day expo, which was held in Shanghai on June 5–7, was attended by a large number of exhibitors seeking to introduce their products to buyers from the fresh produce sector.

During the opening ceremony, Wang Rongjiang, president of the China Vegetable Marketing Association, explained that an increasing number of national vegetable and fruit brands are emerging, signaling a good development for the Chinese fresh produce industry. China is also working to create its own national premium brands. This year’s expo provided a valuable opportunity for companies to increase the visibility of their brands to visitors from all over the world.

This is also why China’s largest vegetable grower, Shouguang Vegetable Industry Holding Group, elected to join Asia Fresh Expo and occupy the very first booth at the entrance. The group has recently launched a new brand, “Te Shu Su Yang” (特蔬素养), and established an office in Shanghai targeting the high-end market in Shanghai and East China. This new company will specialize in not only vegetables but also fruits, including the new “i binger” brand of Sunshine Rose Grapes from Yunnan Province.

The “i binger” brand was established by Yunnan Pure Environment e-commerce Co. Ltd. with the support of the local government and was presented for the first time at the expo by the two companies. Grapes belonging to this brand are produced in the Binchuan area of Yunnan Province, which has special climatic conditions that greatly favor the growth of these grapes, leading to high quality.

In the future, Te Shu Su Yang is expected to expand to the international market, allowing more fresh Chinese products to be presented to the world.

The next Asia Fresh Expo will be held in Shanghai in May 2020, and the organizers will continue to endeavor to develop a deeper understanding of the industry and establish a platform for bringing together exhibitors and visitors, thereby creating more opportunities for cooperation and business. See you next May!
