Partnering With Joy Wing Mau and RiverKing Group To Open a New Chapter for Premium Imported Apples

Shanghai, June 12, 2026 — Soluna [3], a premium apple brand, officially entered the Chinese market [4] in June 2026, marking a key milestone in the commercialization of Australian apples in China. The launch is jointly driven by two leading Chinese fruit industry players — Joy Wing Mau Group and RiverKing Group — ushering in a new chapter for Soluna in China.

Following China market access approval [5] in 2025, this first commercial shipment of Soluna apples not only adds an important element to the brand’s global expansion but also further deepens agricultural trade cooperation between Australia and China.

On the evening of June 11, Soluna hosted a brand celebration — “Starry Night of Soluna” — at W Shanghai – The Bund, officially marking the brand’s debut in the Chinese market. Against the backdrop of Shanghai’s iconic skyline, brand guests, channel partners and industry representatives jointly illuminated a giant apple art installation, creating an immersive experience that embodied the brand’s lifestyle aesthetics and symbolized the “Starry Sky Fruit” from Australia embarking on its journey in China.

Meeting New Consumer Demands With a Differentiated Experience

As Chinese consumers continue to upgrade their fruit consumption preferences, distinctive varieties that combine visual appeal, flavor excellence and quality assurance are gaining increasing attention. Soluna apples were born to meet this trend.

Its deep burgundy skin and creamy white flesh create a striking visual contrast, while its crisp, juicy texture and balanced sweet‑tart flavor profile deliver a unique eating experience. At the same time, consistent quality and strong shelf performance provide a solid foundation for its entry into premium retail channels.

The natural endowment of the origin strongly backs the quality of Soluna apples. Grown in premium Australian apple‑growing regions, the fruit benefits from a pristine natural environment, abundant sunshine and significant day/night temperature differences, resulting in concentrated flavor and firm, crisp flesh. Rigorous cultivation and grading systems further ensure product consistency and reliability.

Multi‑Party Collaboration To Drive Brand Launch in China

Elliot Jones, general manager of WA Farm Direct, commented:

China is one of the most important markets for premium apples in the world. The successful entry of Soluna apples into the Chinese market is a significant achievement for Australian growers. We are delighted to partner with Joy Wing Mau and RiverKing Group, leveraging their mature channel networks and market expertise to bring this promising new brand to Chinese consumers.

As key players in China’s fresh produce supply chain, Joy Wing Mau and RiverKing Group will jointly manage Soluna’s channel expansion and brand promotion in China. Through their extensive market networks covering core cities and premium retail channels, they will accelerate the brand’s reach to target consumer groups.

Winning Market Recognition With Quality and Origin Advantages

Jones further noted:

Chinese consumers’ demand for high‑quality, flavor‑driven fruit with clear origin credentials continues to grow. Soluna offers a compelling combination of flavor, quality, and provenance, and we are confident that Soluna will be well received by both channel partners and consumers.

In the initial launch phase, Soluna will roll out a systematic marketing program centered around its Australian origin story, growing philosophy and product experience. Through in‑store displays, consumer engagement activities and channel partnership programs, the brand will steadily build awareness.

During its first commercial season in China, the brand will focus on market cultivation and brand building. With refined channel strategies and long‑term brand investment, Soluna aims to establish a differentiated competitive advantage and lay a solid foundation for growth in China’s premium imported apple market.
