Apples (⇨)

The imported apple market was largely stable this week with Royal Gala remaining the most dominant variety on offer from all origins (New Zealand, South Africa and Chile). New Zealand Royal Gala continues to lag behind the average pricing of the previous two seasons by 10% to 14%, averaging at approximately ¥270 (18 kg, various sizes), while Chilean average pricing was around ¥235 (18 kg) and South African average pricing was ¥230 (18 kg). Full wholesale and retail details, including for Dazzle, Breeze, NZ Queen, Fuji, Royal Beaut and others, are available online.

Avocados (⇩)

Avocado pricing declined further this week across the board, impacting the available Peruvian and Kenyan goods. Peru maintains a premium over Kenya of about ¥15–20 on 10-kilogram cartons, with a similar percentage difference on 4-kilogram cartons.

Blueberries (⇧)

Domestic Eureka Sunrise and Arana from Yunnan province saw a modest improvement in price this week. At the retail level, average pricing took a step upward to ¥15.75 per 125-gram-equivalent punnet, which is in line with the pricing of 2025. Full wholesale pricing can be found online by members.

Grapefruit (⇩)

South African Star Ruby pricing appears to have stabilized for the time being, with only a modest price decline recorded in week 21. At present, goods are trading a full 35% below 2025 and 29% below 2024. Full wholesale details are available to members.

Lemons (⇧)

South African Eureka arrivals remain modest, with market pricing slightly firmer than the previous week. Prices are closer to the 2024 levels, which are visibly below those of last season. Chinese retail pricing is steady and on par with 2025 at ¥23.80 per kilogram, dominated entirely by domestic goods.

Oranges (⇨)

The orange market remains a challenge for both high-end goods such as U.S. and Spanish late navels, as well as more affordable Egyptian Valencias. Egyptian pricing remains steady in a familiar range but is still visibly below the stronger prices witnessed in the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Full details including price by size and key brands are available online.
