Apples (⇨)

New Zealand continues to lead the category, with Royal Gala averaging ¥265 (18 kg, various sizes) and staying broadly steady compared to last week. Chilean Royal Gala has softened to around ¥220 (18 kg), sitting about 17% below 2025 levels. South African Bigbucks traded at ¥218 (18 kg) and Royal Beaut at ¥244 (18 kg). Avocados (⇧)

Imported Hass pricing showed a marked decline in price in week 16 as there was a notable influx of arrivals. However, pricing recovered during week 17 as few arrivals were set to enter in both week 17 and 18. Peruvian goods increased in price and were trading between ¥150 and ¥160 (4 kg, 20–24s).

Blueberries (⇨)

Domestic blueberry pricing was generally steady this week with some regions showing slightly softer pricing as others strengthened somewhat. During the week, Arana (L11) from Yunnan province decreased to trade between ¥40 and ¥60 (1.5 kg, various sizes), as Eureka Sunrise (L25) was between ¥45 and ¥65 (1.5 kg, various sizes). At the retail level, we calculate an average consumer value of ¥14.15 (125 g), which is about 9% less than the same week of 2025.

Grapes (⇨)

Chilean Red Globe, still the most widely recorded variety, averaged ¥162 (8.2 kg, various sizes), firming slightly compared to last week and remaining broadly in line with 2025. Australian Crimson held at ¥277 (9.5 kg), sitting about 33% above last year, while Sweet Globe from Australia was at an average of ¥274 (9.5 kg). Chilean Sweet Favors came in at ¥144 (8.2 kg). Plums (⇨)

Crimson Fall averaged ¥115 (9 kg), firming slightly from last week but about 29% below 2025 levels. Sweet Mary traded notably higher at ¥251 (9 kg), jumping ¥40 compared to the previous week, though still well below last year. Sweet Pekeetah and September Yummy were also recorded at lower levels. Oranges (⇨)

Freshly opened Egyptian Valencia was able to reach a price of ¥115 (15 kg). However, many goods were still trading closer to the ¥100 level, which is 18% below last year. U.S. Lane Late and Spanish oranges were also available, but trading conditions were challenging as local supply is still readily available. Further details can be found online.
