Garces Fruit’s Premium Cherries Arrive in China, Brand Fully Refreshed for 2026/27 Season [1]

On Oct. 31, Garces Fruit [3] hosted an arrival launch event for its first air shipment of premium Chilean cherries [4] at Shanghai Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market. The event celebrated the arrival in China of a consignment of 224 cartons of Garces Fruit’s flagship early-season cherries belonging to the Black Pearl variety, marking the official kickoff of Garces Fruit’s new selling season in China.

The event also featured the debut of “Little G,” Garces Fruit’s new mascot, together with an oversized signature board created for the occasion. Garces Fruit’s APEC leadership and wholesale partners took to the stage to sign the board and join a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Despite a challenging season for Chilean cherry production, Garces Fruit remains committed to quality. Through its new “Cuidemos Nuestra Fruta” (“Let’s Take Care of Our Fruit”) initiative, the company is implementing even more stringent quality-control standards across its operations. Combined with its existing AI-powered Unitec 3.5 sorting system and manual inspection, these measures have further reduced defective fruit rates by 2–4%.

Ahead of the new season, Garces Fruit has completed a comprehensive brand refresh spanning its visual identity and packaging. The new packaging incorporates stronger brand elements while responding to the growing demand among younger consumers. A new lightweight 1-kilogram red cherry box features illustrations inspired by the Andean foothills, celebrating the fruit’s Chilean origins and bringing the brand’s seasonal story to daily life.

Building on three generations of stone fruit heritage, Garces Fruit has also introduced “Good Family,” a new family of mascots inspired by its core fruit categories. Throughout the season, the characters will feature across brand pop-ups, trade roadshows and industry events, helping channel partners engage consumers and drive sales at the point of purchase.

Garces Fruit’s market position is further supported by recognized credentials and strong sales performance. Last year, its Brooks cherry variety received low-GI food certification, making Garces Fruit the first Chilean cherry brand in China to receive the certification and creating a differentiated proposition for premium health gifting occasions and channel partners. This year, Garces Fruit was also certified as number one in China cherry sales volume for five consecutive years, reflecting sustained recognition from both trade partners and consumers.

Looking ahead, Garces Fruit will continue to work closely with online retail platforms such as Douyin E-commerce and Dingdong Maicai, as well as leading offline retailers including Walmart and Rainbow. By combining Garces Fruit’s premium Chilean cherries with the established supply chains and extensive retail networks of these partners, the brand aims to reach more households across China. Garces Fruit has also rolled out official flagship stores across major e-commerce channels to sustain a steady supply of its premium cherries. Through these collaborations, premium cherries will reach more household dining tables, strengthening the brand’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) footprint and paving the way for mutually beneficial results throughout the 2026/27 cherry season.
