The registration portal for the inaugural Chilean Cherry Annual Awards [3] has officially opened. Organized by the Chilean Cherry Committee of Frutas de Chile, the awards aim to recognize retail partners who have made outstanding contributions to promoting committee members’ cherries during the 2025/26 Chilean cherry season [4], celebrating excellence in quality and innovation.

The inaugural Chilean Cherry Annual Awards feature eight award categories, covering both online and offline fruit retail channels: Consumer Experience Award, Retail Activation Award, Digital Promotion Award, Innovative Promotion Award, Gifting Promotion Award, Snacking Promotion Award, Nutritional Marketing Award and Category Education Award.

Entries will be evaluated by a judging committee jointly formed by Frutas de Chile, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products (CFNA), fruit trade media, and representatives from advertising industry organizations. Evaluation criteria include — but are not limited to — marketing performance, market influence, innovation and consumer experience.

If you represent a hyper/supermarket, e-commerce platform (B2C/O2O) or specialty fruit retailer engaged in Chilean cherry marketing campaigns executed during the period from December 2025 to February 2026, you are welcome to scan the QR code below to apply for consideration in the awards.

Participating applicants must complete the mini-program registration and submit all entry materials by Feb. 28, 2026. The judging period is from March 1 to March 7. The final winners will be announced at the 2025/26 Chilean Cherry Annual Awards Ceremony, to be held on March 12 at 1908 Granary, Huangpu District, Shanghai.

Retail innovation in the Chinese market has the potential to reshape the fresh food consumption landscape and steadily bolster the value of Chilean cherries. The awards program provides a platform for all types of retail enterprises to showcase their operational strength and innovation achievements. “Whether you are a leading hypermarket, a chain retailer deeply rooted in regional markets or an e-commerce platform focused on digital operations, your achievements in marketing Chilean cherries deserve to be spotlighted,” said Dr. Charif Christian Carvajal, director of marketing for Europe, Asia and the Middle East for Frutas de Chile.
