2025/26 Chilean Cherry Season Drawing to an End: Week 3 Shipment Update [1]
Submitted by Produce Report [2] on

According to Frutas de Chile and its latest cargo update through week 3, Chilean cherry exports [3] shipped to China (including Hong Kong) have reached 494,563 metric tons, equivalent to approximately 98.9 million cases or 26,800 containers. This represents a 12% decrease [4] compared with last season, with much more volume concentrated in late December.

Industry sources indicate that the remaining major container arrivals of Chilean cherries are occurring this week and next (weeks 4 and 5). Estimates indicate that more than 90% of this season’s total volume has already arrived in the market. Very limited volumes of fruit are expected from week 6 onward to the Chinese New Year period, given that arrivals were concentrated earlier in the season.
In this context, market operators have highlighted the importance of strengthening distribution and accelerating channel sell-through in the current window, as limited volumes are expected closer to Chinese New Year — reinforcing “buy now” messaging supported by efficient logistics and stable market communication.
